Here’s my submission to the Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Texture. There are many examples where texture becomes a pattern so I tried to find examples where you could easily see the texture. Since the first two I found are green, they would also fit with the DPS (Digital Photography School) challenge this week – green! The first photo shows part of a glass sculpture from Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle. The others are organic – plants and trees from my travels. Which one do you like best?
Those were great choices. I’m glad you labeled the Chihuly – I didn’t realize that’s what I was looking at. We had a Chihuly exhibit here in Richmond, Virginia a while back. I went twice it was so great!

I think a lot of the appeal of Chihuly’s work is that it does look so organic. But, nature provides endless beauty so we can try to capture a bit of it.

As much as I love Chihuly (great photo), the clump of real grass beats it in my opinion. 🙂
I agree with your previous comment too –few others would understand why you pressed your lens into these spots. Wonderfully captured….
