I was just going to casually mention this at the end of a regular post, but I can’t contain myself. Really, who am I kidding? I am so excited that this is actually post number 100 for me. Who’d have guessed I could have so much to say, I mean share? But apparently – I do. Let me say this – blogging is so much fun. I love everything about it – except when there is a glitch that deletes what I have written while simultaneously forgetting to save that particular draft. This has only happened about 3 times, and while I have never lost anything of any great length or value, it is usually something I have labored over, fussed with and wanted to scream about the loss. That’s all. I’m sure it happens to everyone.

The fact that people read my blog is tremendously exciting for me. Apparently having a focus can help increase your number of readers. Sorry – not ready for that yet. That means the only people who read this regularly are people like me with short attention spans. Hooray for loving lots of different things! I’m still wondering how people find this blog. Sure, I know my friends get my blog address on every email, and my Facebook friends get notification when I post, but how about the readers from other parts of the world? I love getting comments – especially from people I don’t know. How cool is that? I feel like I’ve developed friendships with a few other bloggers, and I love the way the network of connections expands between people from all over. Finally I understand “internet” and “world-wide web” in a meaningful way! And all of this is accessible from any computer almost any time. Wow!

Here are a few of my photos that contain at least 100 things:

buttons

tile mosaic

white flower

studio books

peppers

airport ceiling

piles of textiles

mosaic angel

shelves of pottery

little fishes in the market

lemons and oranges

Nothing else to say – just basking in the glory of the day…

  1. Congrats on your 100th! I sometimes wonder, too, how folks find their way to my blog. Especially when I see that they visit from all over the world!

  2. Love your 100 things post. Congratulations on making it so far. I think I just reached my 300th post, but I didn’t think of doing anything for it. Keep it up!

      1. I’ve stopped trying to “refine” a post and just write and post. Since my blog is mainly photography I try and make the picture speak a thousand words.

I started my blog in June of 2010, but really didn’t start posting on a regular basis until Dec of 2010. My 365 project forced me to be more active and proficient. It does get easier.
