award time : oh my!

I have been so slack about getting around to “accepting” these awards that they are starting to pile up, along with the guilt for not responding. Please don’t take this to mean that I’m not grateful for the nominations, but it always seems sort of self-serving to talk about myself and I tend to put it off as long as possible. Of course I am a blogger so I am used to talking about myself, right?

I would like to thank Eunice at Living and Loving and Geli at Geli’s Goodies who both nomintated me for the Super Sweet Blogger Award. Wow – makes my teeth hurt just to say that! I would also like to thank Esenga’s Voice for nominating me for the Liebster Blog Award. Thanks to Drew at Drew Kail for nominating me for the Beautiful Blogger Award. Last but certainly not least thank you to Hot Rod Cowgirl for my nomination for The Kreativ Blogger Award. I am overwhelmed by their kindness in thinking of me. There are specific rules for each award. Let me explain them. All the awards start out by asking you to thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blogs. Then there are questions to answer, and you should nominate other bloggers for the award and notify them. Fairly involved. Is it any wonder I’ve been dragging my heals?

A book that changed your life: I can think of a lot of great books, but I can’t pick one as life changing.

Your favourite author/writer: J. R. R. Tolkien

Pet and it’s name: cat named Kush (Sorry Marc but possession is 9/10ths of the law.)

Craziest thing you have done: travelled in Europe when I was 14, with a 14 yr. old friend (think blind leading the blind)

My best friend: several too close to choose

A childhood prank: locked the stall doors in the ladie’s room and crawled under (only kid in the place – pretty clever, right?)

Favorite music artist: Annie Lenox (group would be Beatles – of course!)

A place you would love to visit: Turkey – again

If I had just five minutes left to live what is the one thing i would do: whatever I darn well wanted!

Favorite sport: lino-printing. I figure if ribbon twirling can make it to the Olympics, there is hope for lino-printing.

I hate to say this, but I cannot possibly come up with all the blogs I’m supposed to, so I’ve decided to cheat and cut the requirements. It’s not that there aren’t enough great blogs out there, but I’m having trouble keeping track of those who I have already nominated. The record keeping is killing me! Accept my apologies for my shortcomings, and if you are listed here, please accept my nomination as well. Take whichever award appeals to you. Take them all if you feel the need. All the linking and notifying is rather time-consuming – I feel like I’m making life more complicated than necessary. If anyone out there has figured a simple way to do this, please let me know.
