There are so many ways to illustrate illumination. I wish I could get a picture of Kush now. She is basking in the light from the family room lamp as though it were the sun. But back to the challenge. Here are my photos to illuminate your day.
The church votive candles were found in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The next two photos were taken in Osgoode Hall, the law society building in Toronto, Ontario. The interesting hanging display is in Notable Restaurant in Calgary, Alberta. Hanging in with the simple light bulbs are glass transformers from old telephone poles. An illuminating idea to be sure. The last photo shows the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. The big sky source of illumination illuminates the church as it sets. Where would we be without illumination? Oh, I know – in the dark!
