Last post I mentioned that my head was going to explode – with ideas, and now I have a cold that makes me feel like it’s actually going to happen! I’ve been fighting against being sick since the first sign of a sore throat on Tuesday evening. Everyday there has been a change, for the worse, even though I am mostly staying home, resting and drinking all the fluids I can manage. (Also taking Tylenol and using an inhaler.) Obviously not enough. Today I lost my voice. I don’t think it has ever been such a complete loss – very strange experience to be certain. Too bad my children aren’t around to enjoy the silence! But life goes on.
Yesterday was the annual Show and Sale of my fibre group – Contextural. It was a fabulously successful day for everyone involved. I managed photos before and after the sale, but I was in too much of a haze to remember to take photos during the day. Drat. I wanted to show you the crowds and how the sunlight bathed the room! It was just lovely. Here are a few photos from the show after we set up on Friday night.
Here are a few detail shots of various display areas:
Last night I had trouble sleeping because I was coughing, and when I wasn’t coughing I couldn’t sleep because I was overwhelmed with ideas for next year’s show. There must be some truth to the expression “No Rest for the Wicked!”
The show looks lovely! Sorry I missed it..I hope it was good for you. Take care of that cold! 🙂

I was hoping to make it to your sale, but got hung up with work. Wish it had been a two day show.. looks like some beautifully hand crafted items. Get well Terri:)

Thanks, Barb. The way I’m feeling, I couldn’t have managed today, and one day seems to work for us. I’ll try to give you a little more warning next year!

Sorry to hear that you’ve been under the weather, Terri. Being ill is such a drag. Keep pumping those fluids!
What cool pillows and gorgeous scarves!
FYI: tomorrow morning before heading into The Grind, I’m scheduled to have my flu shot. This post makes me glad that I set up that appointment.

Oh go ahead, V. Rub it in why don’t you? Just kidding. I’m glad you’re getting your shot, and I’m hoping to get one within the next 2 weeks.

This is the first time I’m getting one. I was sick so many times last winter, it’s possible that I did have the flu. Since this shot is covered by my health insurance, I decided the time has come to quit being a scaredy-cat about it. I trust you won’t share this comment with Kush.

I like the way you expressed how sick you are, you know the mistake you made is you did not take the flu’ shot, or did you? The photographs are impressive, I like them all.

Oh no, I was thinking about the flu shot about a week ago, but procrastination took over and I decided to do it after the Sale. Guess I will, when I feel well enough to to it!

Beautiful scarves! And I am sick too, by the way, but unfortunately (or fortunately) nothing fun to plan in the small hours. Just the ceiling to stare at.. ! Get better soon.
